Fun fact(s): Charleston Peak stands at 11,916 ft and is the highest point in southern Nevada! On a clear day, you can see all the way to California and Utah from the summit of Charleston Peak. The peak is named after Charleston, South Carolina, though its native name in the Southern Paiute language is Nuvagantu, meaning “where snow sits.”
